Zelensky's plane 'almost hit' by drone en route to Oslo: Norway PM

## Incident Overview

A plane carrying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was reportedly close to a collision with a drone while en route to Oslo. This incident was highlighted by Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, who mentioned that the near-miss occurred as the plane was departing from Moldova.

## Reactions from Ukraine and Moldova

Ukrainian and Moldovan officials have downplayed the severity of the incident. A Ukrainian presidential source described the situation as exaggerated, noting that the alert was triggered when a Russian drone entered Moldovan and Romanian airspace. Moldova's government confirmed that airspace was temporarily closed to protect aircraft, causing some flight delays.

## Zelensky's Visit to Norway

Despite the incident, President Zelensky arrived safely in Oslo. He engaged in discussions with Norwegian officials, including Prime Minister Store, focusing on military and civilian aid. Zelensky also attended the funeral of Norway's King Harald V, who passed away on August 28.

## Subsequent Travel Plans

Following his visit to Norway, President Zelensky continued his diplomatic tour, heading to Canada for further talks with Canadian leaders.
