iPhone Duo's folding animation is a feature no other foldable phone have

## Introduction to iPhone Duo

Apple has introduced its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, at an event in Cupertino, California. This new device features a distinctive folding animation that sets it apart from other foldable phones on the market.

## Innovative Folding Animation

The iPhone Duo's folding animation creates a seamless transition between the outer and inner displays. Unlike other foldables that abruptly switch screens, Apple's animation blurs and stretches the interface, providing a smooth visual experience. This effect is complemented by real-time audio adjustments as the phone's speakers change position.

## Advanced Engineering

The hinge of the iPhone Duo is a complex engineering feat, comprising over 100 precision components. It includes a multi-layer lamination design and viscoelastic adhesives to ensure smooth folding without screen distortion. The device also features a titanium base plate and carbon fiber support for added durability.

## Unique Features

The iPhone Duo offers several features tailored to its dual-display design. Duo Preview allows subjects to see themselves on the outer display before a photo is taken. Kid Cue plays animations to capture children's attention during photography. Duo FaceTime enables nearby individuals to join video calls using the outer display, while Dual Capture mode shares both front and rear camera feeds during calls. The Smart Take feature automatically captures group photos when everyone is ready.

## Hardware Specifications

When unfolded, the iPhone Duo boasts a 7.6-inch inner display with a nano-texture finish to reduce glare. The outer display measures 5.4 inches. The camera system includes a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens. The device is powered by Apple's A20 chip and C2 modem, available in blue and silver.

## Software Adaptations

iOS has been specifically adapted for the iPhone Duo's format. The status bar and Dynamic Island are redesigned for both folded and unfolded states, and content adjusts to avoid the crease. Users can run two apps side by side or open the same app twice simultaneously.
