Philippines low-cost airline increases hand-carry allowance to 10kg

## New Baggage Policy

Starting September 15, Cebu Pacific will allow passengers on its mainline 5J flights to carry up to 10 kilograms of cabin baggage. This is an increase from the previous limit of seven kilograms.

## Details of the Allowance

Passengers can bring one cabin bag and one personal item. The cabin bag should fit in the overhead compartment and not exceed dimensions of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. The personal item should be stored under the seat in front.

## Applicable Flights

The updated allowance applies to all flights under the 5J code, which includes domestic routes within the Philippines and international destinations such as Dubai, Sydney, and Taipei. However, flights operated by Cebgo, identified by the DG code, will maintain the seven-kilogram limit.

## Important Considerations

Cebu Pacific advises passengers to verify their baggage complies with the size and weight restrictions to ensure a smooth airport experience. The airline emphasizes the importance of checking flight codes, especially for journeys involving both 5J and DG services, as different baggage rules apply.
