## Severe Weather Hits Hainan

In China's Hainan Province, over 31,000 residents have been evacuated following intense rainfall that began on Friday. The downpour affected 24 townships across six cities and counties, with Changfeng Township in Wanning experiencing the highest rainfall at 452.1 millimeters.

## Emergency Measures Implemented

The provincial disaster prevention committee reported no major disasters but has raised the flood-control emergency response to Level II. Wanning has activated a Level I emergency response, the highest in China's system, while other areas remain at Level II. Schools and some tourist sites have been closed, and traffic controls are in place.

## Preparedness and Alerts

Fire and rescue teams, along with additional personnel and equipment, have been deployed to key areas. The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration issued alerts for flash floods and geological disaster risks. Authorities are closely monitoring conditions to manage reservoir operations and prevent further flooding.
