In 2026, Pakistan's passport has fallen to the 183rd position globally, as per the latest Passport Reports. This marks a significant drop from its previous rankings, reversing the improvements seen in recent years.

## Mobility Score and Visa-Free Travel

The Pakistani passport now has a Mobility Score of 42, indicating access to 42 destinations through various entry options. However, only nine countries offer visa-free travel for Pakistani passport holders. These countries include Barbados, Dominica, The Gambia, Haiti, Micronesia, Rwanda, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vanuatu.

## Visa Requirements

While nine destinations allow visa-free entry, 29 countries offer visas on arrival, and four provide access through an electronic travel authorization (eTA). Despite these options, 156 destinations still require a visa before travel.

## Historical Context

The passport's ranking has fluctuated over the years. It improved from 180th in 2023 to 174th in 2025, but the recent drop to 183rd is the largest decline in recent years. The Mobility Score also decreased from 47 in 2024 to 42 in 2026.

## Implications for Travelers

For Pakistani travelers, the decline in ranking and Mobility Score means limited travel freedom. The majority of destinations still require a visa, posing challenges for international travel.
