## Urgent Situation on a Friday Night

A UAE family faced a potential holiday disaster when a car rental company refused to accept a digital driving licence. The family, set to fly to Europe the next morning, needed a printed version of the renewed licence to collect their rental car.

## A Call for Help

Around 9pm, the traveller contacted TV presenter Ahmad Sultan, explaining the predicament. Despite renewing the licence online, the rental firm insisted on a physical copy.

## Police Officer Steps In

Sultan reached out to Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Al Sheikh of the Sharjah Police traffic department. Although it was his weekend, Al Sheikh decided to assist. He personally went to the traffic department to ensure the licence was printed.

## Swift Resolution

Within an hour, the printed licence was ready and handed to the traveller, allowing the family to proceed with their travel plans. This incident underscores the dedication of Sharjah Police officers to community service, even outside of official hours.
