## Qatar Airways Achievements at Skytrax 2026

Qatar Airways has been recognized with four prestigious awards at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026. The airline maintained its 5-star rating and achieved a groundbreaking win for World's Best Onboard Wi-Fi, a new category introduced this year.

## Business Class and Regional Excellence

The airline's business class, featuring the innovative Qsuite, was named World's Best Business Class for the thirteenth time. Qatar Airways also secured the title of Best Airline in the Middle East for the fourteenth consecutive year. The Al Mourjan Business Lounge's new area, The Garden, contributed to winning World's Best Business Class Lounge for the eighth time.

## Onboard Wi-Fi Innovation

Qatar Airways became the first airline to win the World's Best Onboard Wi-Fi award, thanks to its extensive rollout of Starlink connectivity across its widebody fleet. This service has allowed over 25 million passengers to stay connected on more than 96,000 flights.

## Operational Growth and Future Plans

Despite operational challenges, Group CEO Hamad Al-Khater praised the airline's 60,000 staff for their contributions. The airline has increased its Middle East flight schedule by 14% this winter and is gearing up for its 30th anniversary in 2027. Additionally, the oneworld alliance, which includes Qatar Airways, was named World's Best Airline Alliance for 2026.
