Brazilian authorities have apprehended a man suspected of being a serial killer responsible for at least 16 murders since May. The arrest occurred after a 30-hour manhunt in a forested area of Paraiba state. The suspect was found disguised as a woman, wearing a dress and a long black wig, and carrying a baby.

## Claims of More Victims

The suspect has claimed responsibility for over 80 killings, although police have only confirmed his involvement in 16 cases. During questioning, he confessed to 11 of these murders. The victims' identities and details of the crimes have not been disclosed.

## Previous Evasion and Criminal Links

## Weapons and Ammunition Seized

Following an earlier attempt to arrest him, police confiscated bulletproof vests, a submachine gun stock, and over 100 rounds of ammunition, which the suspect admitted were his. He claimed his actions were in response to threats against him and his family, asserting he never harmed innocent civilians.
