## Ministry Alert on Scam Calls
The UAE Interior Ministry has issued a warning to the public about scam calls designed to steal personal information. These fraudulent calls often involve impersonation tactics and aim to extract sensitive data from unsuspecting individuals.
## Official Statement
The ministry emphasized that it does not request personal or banking details through phone calls, text messages, or any other unofficial channels. Calls from numbers like 70614213 are not associated with the ministry and are part of electronic fraud schemes.
## Public Guidance
Residents are advised not to engage with suspicious calls and to avoid sharing personal information, such as national identity numbers or verification codes. The ministry is actively tracking these fraudulent activities and promises legal action against those responsible.
## Reporting and Information
The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities through designated platforms and to rely on official sources for information. The State Security Department also advises against spreading unverified news and urges reporting of security concerns via their service at 8006600.
