## Sharjah Police Issue Warning

Sharjah Police have issued a stern warning against the illegal use and possession of fireworks, emphasizing the severe legal consequences involved. Brigadier Dr. Jassim Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi highlighted the significant risks posed by fireworks to both individuals and the community.

## Legal Consequences

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 17 of 2019, those caught trading or using fireworks without a license face a minimum one-year jail term and fines starting at Dh100,000. The law strictly prohibits the possession, use, import, or export of fireworks without official permits.

## Continuous Monitoring

Authorities have intensified 24/7 monitoring to prevent violations, urging the public to report unsafe practices. Emergency situations can be reported by calling 999, while non-emergencies can be addressed through 901 or the Najid service at 800151.

## Public Safety Priority

Brigadier Al Suwaidi reiterated that public safety is a top priority, and police teams are dedicated to ensuring community safety and responding swiftly to reports.
