ADNOC signs LNG deal with Gujarat Energy to supply 4 million tonnes over 10 years

## Long-Term LNG Supply Agreement

ADNOC has entered into a significant agreement with Gujarat Energy Ltd to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) over a decade. The deal involves the delivery of up to 4 million tonnes of LNG, with shipments commencing in 2028. This marks the first instance of ADNOC's international investment arm, XRG, selling gas to a customer.

## Expanding ADNOC's Reach

The LNG will be sourced from XRG’s international portfolio, indicating production outside the Gulf region, and marketed through ADNOC’s global trading platform. This agreement is part of ADNOC's strategy to expand its presence in Asia, following similar deals with companies in Japan and Thailand.

## Commitment to India

Rashid Al Mazrouei, ADNOC’s Chief Marketing and Origination Officer for LNG, emphasized the importance of this agreement in strengthening ties with Indian energy partners. The deal aligns with ADNOC's goal to ensure reliable, long-term energy supplies.

## Supporting India's Energy Transition

Gujarat Energy is prepared to integrate the LNG into its existing infrastructure, which includes a city gas network across multiple states. Avantika Singh Aulakh, Managing Director of Gujarat Energy, highlighted the role of natural gas in advancing India's shift towards cleaner energy solutions, enhancing industrial efficiency, and supporting greener transportation options.
