## Sahil Chauhan's Record-Breaking Performance
Sahil Chauhan, an Estonian cricketer of Indian origin, has set a new record for the fastest century in T20 international cricket. On June 17, 2024, Chauhan achieved this feat against Cyprus, reaching 100 runs in just 27 balls. His innings included a staggering 18 sixes, and he finished unbeaten on 144 from 41 balls. Chauhan, originally from Pinjore, Haryana, moved to Estonia to assist with his uncle's business but continued to pursue his passion for cricket.
## Other Notable Fast Centuries
Muhammad Fahad from Turkey, originally from Pakistan, holds the second-fastest T20 century record. He scored a century in 29 balls against Bulgaria on July 12, 2025. Fahad's explosive performance made him an instant hero in Turkey.
Namibia's Jan Nicol Loftie Eaton and Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza both scored centuries in 33 balls, against Nepal and Gambia respectively. These performances briefly held the record for the fastest T20 centuries.
Most recently, New Zealand's Finn Allen joined this elite group with a 33-ball century against South Africa in the T20 World Cup semi-final on March 4, 2026. His innings helped propel New Zealand into the final.
