## Samson Backs Abhishek Sharma
Sanju Samson has expressed confidence in his teammate Abhishek Sharma, despite the latter's recent struggles in the ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup. Following India's narrow seven-run victory over England in the semi-final, Samson emphasized the team's belief in Sharma's potential to shine in the final. He highlighted the supportive environment within the team, led by Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav, which aims to help Sharma regain his form.
Sharma, who has scored only 89 runs in seven innings, including three ducks, managed just nine runs against England. Samson, however, remains optimistic, suggesting that a few successful hits could turn Sharma's fortunes around.
## Praise for Jasprit Bumrah
Despite his own impressive performance, scoring 89 runs off 42 balls, Samson believes the Player of the Match award should have gone to Jasprit Bumrah. Samson praised Bumrah's exceptional bowling in the death overs, which was crucial in defending India's total of 253 for 7. England's Jacob Bethell kept the match competitive with a rapid 105, but India's bowlers, led by Bumrah, held their nerve to secure the win.
Samson, who has been in and out of the team throughout his career, continues to demonstrate his class and humility by acknowledging the contributions of his teammates.
