An Abu Dhabi court has mandated a former warehouse supervisor to repay Dh70,951 to his previous employer. The decision follows an audit that uncovered missing goods from the company's inventory.

## Employee's Acknowledgment

The supervisor, who served the company for over 11 years, admitted partial responsibility for the inventory deficit. He signed a declaration accepting liability for Dh26,348 of the shortage.

## Legal Proceedings

The company initiated legal action after the employee left the country without settling the debt. The court found no evidence of repayment and ruled that the employee must pay the total amount, which includes an earlier debt of Dh44,429.

## Interest Rate Decision

While the company sought a 12% interest rate on the owed amount, the court set it at 4% annually, effective from the case filing date until full payment is made.
