## Historic Achievement for Lakshya Sen
Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen has made history by reaching the men's singles final of the All England Open Badminton Championships for the second time. The 24-year-old achieved this feat after a challenging semi-final victory over Canada's Victor Lai in Birmingham.
## Semi-Final Battle
Sen's match against Lai was a test of endurance and skill, lasting 1 hour and 37 minutes. Despite dealing with blisters on his right toe, Sen managed to secure a win with scores of 21-16, 18-21, 21-15. His ability to adapt and push through physical discomfort was crucial in this intense encounter.
## Following in Legendary Footsteps
Sen becomes only the second Indian to reach the All England final twice, following in the footsteps of his mentor, Prakash Padukone, who achieved this in 1980 and 1981. Padukone also won the prestigious title in his first final appearance.
## Upcoming Final
In the final, Sen will face Lin Chun-Yi from Chinese Taipei, who recently defeated Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn. Sen aims to become the third Indian to win the men's singles title at this event, joining the ranks of Padukone and Pullela Gopichand.
## Support and Encouragement
Fellow Indian badminton star PV Sindhu expressed her admiration for Sen's performance, highlighting the difficulty of competing while experiencing physical strain. She wished him luck for the upcoming final, emphasizing the strength of his support team.
