## New Alert Tones Announced

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) in the UAE has announced changes to the alert tones used in the National Early Warning System. This update, revealed on March 9, aims to ensure the system remains fully operational and effective in maintaining public safety.

## Timing of Alert Tones

From 9 am to 10:30 pm, the current high tone will be used for alerts, while the standard text message tone will signal the end of an alert. During nighttime hours, from 10:30 pm to 9 am, the standard message tone will be used for both the alert and its conclusion.

## Context of the Update

The system has been actively used to inform the public about defense operations in response to regional tensions, particularly involving Iranian actions amid the ongoing Middle East conflict. This change is part of efforts to enhance communication and ensure public awareness during emergencies.
