From Everest to Antarctica, this Nepali cyclist is on a mission

## A Journey Across Continents

Niranjan Aryal, a 30-year-old cyclist from Nepal, is on an ambitious mission to cycle across the globe, raising awareness about climate change. Starting his journey in October 2024 from Solukhumbu, Nepal, Aryal aims to complete his tour by 2034.

## Inspired by a Fellow Adventurer

Aryal's inspiration came during the COVID-19 lockdown and from fellow Nepali cyclist Pushkar Shah, who cycled to 150 countries. Aryal, a Business Strategy graduate, saved $9,000 from his work on an irrigation project to fund his journey.

## Challenges on the Road

Traveling solo, Aryal faces numerous challenges, including visa issues, language barriers, and mechanical problems with his bike. Despite these hurdles, he averages 140 kilometers a day, relying on the support of the Nepali diaspora for accommodation and meals.

## A Message for the Future

Aryal hopes his journey will inspire young people to take responsibility for the planet. His route includes plans to visit Africa, South America, and Antarctica, with the goal of promoting sustainable living and eco-friendly transportation.
