## New Alert Tone Schedule

The UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has revised the alert tones for the National Early Warning System. Announced on March 9, the changes aim to maintain public safety while updating the alert sounds.

## Alert Tone Details

From 9am to 10.30pm, the system will use a high tone for alerts and a standard text message tone to signal the end of an alert. During nighttime hours, from 10.30pm to 9am, the standard message tone will be used for both alert and end signals.

## Context of the Change

The alert system has been actively used to inform the public about defense operations in response to regional tensions, particularly involving Iranian actions during the ongoing Middle East conflict. The updates ensure the system remains effective and responsive to current security needs.
