## Interim Leadership

Rahul Bhatia, IndiGo's Managing Director and co-founder, will temporarily oversee operations until a new CEO is appointed. Elbers requested that his notice period be waived in his resignation letter.

This led to over 2,500 flight cancellations and nearly 1,900 delays, affecting more than 300,000 passengers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) fined the airline ₹22.20 crore and issued show-cause notices to Elbers.
