The opening match will feature the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, against Sunrisers Hyderabad. ## Tournament Schedule

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the initial phase of the IPL schedule, which includes 20 matches across 10 venues. These venues are Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. The full schedule will be announced after the dates for state assembly elections are finalized.

## Upcoming Matches

Following the opener, Mumbai Indians will face Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium on March 29. The first double-header of the season is scheduled for April 4, with Delhi Capitals playing Mumbai Indians in the afternoon and Gujarat Titans facing Rajasthan Royals in the evening.

## Team Preparations

Teams have begun their training camps in anticipation of the tournament. Royal Challengers Bengaluru held a camp at DY Patil Stadium, while Gujarat Titans trained at Miraj International Cricket Stadium. Punjab Kings started in Abu Dhabi and are now in Dharamsala. Sunrisers Hyderabad began their camp on March 1, and Mumbai Indians have also commenced preparations. Rajasthan Royals will gather in Jaipur from March 15, and Kolkata Knight Riders will start their camp on March 18. Delhi Capitals recently trained in Hyderabad and may hold another session in New Delhi. Lucknow Super Giants had an early camp in Lucknow.
