## Record Visitor Numbers
In 2025, Abu Dhabi experienced a significant boost in tourism, welcoming 26.6 million visitors. This surge was accompanied by a notable increase in hotel revenues, which reached Dh9.1 billion, marking a 19.5% rise from the previous year.
## Cultural and Event Growth
The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) Abu Dhabi reported substantial growth in cultural and leisure events, with attendance rising by 20% to 4.2 million. The MICE sector also saw a 40% increase in delegates, totaling 2.2 million. Throughout the year, 252 cultural and leisure events were held, including concerts and festivals across various regions.
## Key Attractions
Cultural sites played a crucial role in attracting visitors. The Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Hosn saw significant visitor numbers, with the former welcoming 1.4 million guests. Overall, cultural sites and libraries recorded over 8.6 million visits.
## Hotel Industry Performance
The hotel sector thrived, with 5.9 million guests and an additional 338,000 staying in alternative accommodations like holiday homes. International arrivals increased by 10%, with India being the largest source market. Hotel occupancy reached 81%, and the average stay extended to 2.9 nights.
## Regional Tourism
Outside the capital, Al Ain and Al Dhafra also reported growth. Al Ain saw a 9% increase in guests, while Al Dhafra experienced a rise in hotel occupancy. Despite recent disruptions in 2026, the 2025 figures highlight a strong year for Abu Dhabi's tourism and cultural sectors.
