Etihad launches seasonal flights to Dhaka to boost UAE-Bangladesh links

## New Seasonal Service

Etihad Airways is set to launch a new seasonal flight service connecting Abu Dhabi and Dhaka, starting June 26. This initiative aims to enhance travel, trade, and cargo connections between the UAE and Bangladesh.

## Flight Details

The service will operate four times a week until October 24, utilizing a Boeing 777 aircraft. The plane will offer 28 Business Class and 374 Economy Class seats, along with substantial cargo capacity.

## Strategic Importance

According to Etihad's CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, Dhaka is a key market with strong demand for both passenger and cargo services. The new route is expected to bolster trade, particularly benefiting Bangladesh’s garment and textile industries by improving access to markets in the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

## Community Impact

The UAE hosts a significant Bangladeshi community, and the new flights will provide a direct link for families and facilitate easier connections for the Bangladeshi diaspora in the UK, Italy, and North America. This service is part of Etihad's broader strategy to expand its network and strengthen Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub.
