Emirates Red Crescent begins Ramadan tent set-up, sponsorship up to Dh75,000

## Ramadan Tent Initiative

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has initiated the setup of Ramadan tents as part of its "Iftar Saem" project, which is a key component of their "Ramadan… Giving Without Limits" campaign. This initiative aims to support vulnerable families and individuals across the UAE during the holy month.

## Sponsorship and Costs

The cost to sponsor a Ramadan tent is Dh75,000 in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, while in Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah, it is Dh65,000. These costs cover installation, permits, lighting, air conditioning, and meal provisions for 30 days.

## Beneficiary Reach

This year's domestic Ramadan programs are expected to benefit approximately 395,000 people across all emirates, with a total allocation of over Dh32.5 million. The initiatives include distributing Ramadan food parcels, Iftar meals, light snacks, Zakat Al Fitr, Eid clothing, and other community programs.

## New Initiatives

The ERC is introducing "Your Iftar Is On Us," which provides Iftar meals to shift workers and those working during Iftar hours, especially in hospitals and essential services. Additionally, group Iftar tables will be organized at selected restaurants to reduce overcrowding at public Ramadan tents.

## Eid Clothing Market

In collaboration with retail partners, the "Eid Clothing Market" initiative will offer shopping vouchers to underprivileged families and orphans, allowing them to select Eid clothing directly from participating stores. This effort aims to enhance the Eid experience for children and promote social solidarity.

## Donation Options

The ERC offers various donation options, including Dh15 for an Iftar meal, Dh5 for a light meal, Dh15 for Fidya, Dh25 for Zakat Al-Fitr, Dh50 for Eid clothing, and Dh900 for Kaffarah. Donations can be made through multiple channels, including ERC centers, their website, and mobile applications.
