UAE convenes Industrial Resilience Forum to strengthen supply chains amid global disruptions

## Strengthening Supply Chains

The UAE's Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology organized the Industrial Resilience and Supply Chain Continuity Forum in Abu Dhabi. This event aimed to address global trade and supply chain challenges by bringing together government officials, industry leaders, and financial institutions. The forum precedes the fifth edition of "Make it in the Emirates 2026," set for May 4-7 at the ADNEC Centre.

## Key Focus Areas

Minister Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber emphasized the importance of industry in national resilience, highlighting the need for strong industrial capacity and skilled talent. The forum concentrated on ensuring business continuity, securing raw materials, enhancing financing access for SMEs, and boosting export competitiveness. Discussions also covered policy reforms to mitigate global disruptions.

## Industrial Growth and Future Plans

The UAE's industrial sector has seen significant growth, with exports doubling since 2020. The "Operation 300Bn" strategy, launched in 2021, aims to further expand the sector's economic contribution. The upcoming MIITE 2026 will be the largest edition yet, featuring over 1,000 companies and showcasing opportunities across 12 sectors. New policy tools and financing initiatives will be introduced to support industrial resilience.

## Expanding Global Partnerships

The UAE has established 36 Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements, enhancing market access for over three billion consumers. This positions the country as a competitive manufacturing hub, inviting global investors to innovate and grow within the Emirates.
