## Importance of Contract Verification
Filipino workers in the UAE are advised to verify their employment contracts to protect their rights. This process is crucial for obtaining an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), necessary for working abroad.
## Online Verification
The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai offers an online system for contract verification. This service allows workers to submit documents and pay fees digitally. The system is linked to the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers, enabling automatic OEC generation once verification is complete. This option is available for workers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, excluding sea-based visa categories.
## Walk-in Verification
Workers can also visit the MWO office in Al Qusais 3, Dubai, a day before their flight to the Philippines. If the day before departure is a holiday, they should visit on the nearest working day. Those unable to verify before traveling can authorize a representative to submit documents at MWO Dubai.
## VFS Global Partnership
MWO has partnered with VFS Global to expand verification services. Workers can book an appointment with VFS Global, submit documents at a Contract Verification Center, and receive notification once verification is complete. Additional services like passport delivery are available for a fee.
## Required Documents and Fees
Skilled workers must provide a valid employment contract, passport, and UAE visa or Emirates ID. The contract verification fee is Dh40, with an additional Dh21.50 convenience fee for online applications. A Dh1 bank processing fee applies for online payments. Domestic and sea-based workers have different requirements, and applicants should check the MWO Dubai website for details.
