## Return to Classrooms
Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that schools, nurseries, and educational service centers will resume in-person learning starting April 12, 2026. This decision affects both government and private institutions, including kindergartens.
## Safety and Flexibility
The ministry emphasized that the education system is prepared to operate under various conditions while maintaining a safe environment for students. The transition between different learning methods will be carefully managed in collaboration with relevant authorities to ensure both continuous education and student safety.
## Assessment Measures
For the second-semester mid-term exams, alternative assessment methods will be used alongside in-person learning. Grades 1 and 2 will be assessed through continuous evaluation, while students in Grades 3 to 11 will complete online assessments from April 14 to April 21. Private schools will conduct internal assessments according to their educational plans, with centralized exams guided by examination boards.
## Key Priorities
The ministry's approach focuses on ensuring educational continuity, protecting student wellbeing, and maintaining the ability to switch between learning models as needed. Ongoing coordination with authorities remains a priority to adapt to changing circumstances.
