## Strengthening Ties Amid Tensions
India has expressed its gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for ensuring the safety of Indian nationals amid rising tensions in West Asia. During a meeting in Abu Dhabi, India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, thanked UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the UAE's efforts in safeguarding the Indian community.
## Focus on Regional Stability
The discussions between Jaishankar and Sheikh Abdullah centered on the evolving regional situation and its implications. Both leaders emphasized the importance of international cooperation to achieve lasting peace and security in the region. This dialogue followed a recent announcement by the US regarding a temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
## Community Engagement
Jaishankar also engaged with the Indian community in the UAE, highlighting the Indian government's commitment to their welfare and security during these challenging times. He acknowledged their contributions to the local society and appreciated the UAE government's support.
## Consular Support Initiatives
In an effort to bring consular services closer to the Indian diaspora, the Indian Embassy in the UAE organized a Consular Camp at the Indian Social Centre in Al Ain. This initiative aimed to provide essential services to Indian nationals residing in the region.
