## Historic Event in the Arab World
The United Arab Emirates will host the 42nd International Congress of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) in 2030. This marks the first time the event will be held in the Arab world, specifically in Sharjah.

The congress, themed "Stories That Change the World," will gather over 1,000 experts in children's literature, publishing, and academia from more than 80 countries. The event underscores Sharjah's role as a cultural hub and its commitment to promoting reading and literature.

The announcement was made during the IBBY General Assembly at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy. Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi highlighted the UAE's belief in the transformative power of stories and its efforts to support children's literature.
