## February Remittance Growth
In February 2026, remittances from overseas Filipinos amounted to $2.79 billion. This figure shows an increase compared to the same month in the previous year, although it represents a decrease from January's $3.02 billion.
## Year-to-Date Increase
For the first two months of 2026, cash remittances totaled $5.81 billion, marking a 3.1% rise from the $5.63 billion recorded during the same period last year. Personal remittances, which include various forms of transfers, reached $3.10 billion in February, contributing to a total of $6.46 billion for January and February combined.
## Key Remittance Sources
The United States remains the largest source of remittances to the Philippines, followed by Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Japan, the UK, and the UAE. Filipino expatriates in the UAE continue to prioritize sending money home to support their families.
## Economic Stability
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas emphasizes the importance of remittances in maintaining the country's economic stability. Despite geopolitical uncertainties, particularly in the Middle East, there are no signs of significant repatriation or deployment bans affecting overseas Filipino workers.
