## Strengthening Economic Ties

Dubai International Chamber, a part of Dubai Chambers, has inaugurated a new representative office in Manila. This strategic move aims to enhance trade and investment between Dubai and the Philippines, reflecting Dubai's ambition to solidify its status as a global business hub.

## Rising Trade and Business Participation

The decision to establish the Manila office comes amid significant growth in bilateral trade, with non-oil trade between the two regions reaching Dh3.58 billion in 2025, a 17% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the number of Filipino companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce rose by 23.3% in 2025, with 856 new firms joining.

## Manila's Strategic Role

The Manila office is expected to serve as a bridge, facilitating investment flows and providing market intelligence to businesses in both regions. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, president and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the office's role in helping Filipino companies leverage Dubai's business environment for global expansion.

## Building on Diplomatic Engagements

The office launch builds on recent diplomatic and business exchanges, including a 2025 trade mission to the Philippines organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. This mission resulted in numerous business meetings and a memorandum of understanding with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

## Future Plans

The Manila office is part of the "Dubai Global" initiative, which aims to establish 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030. This strategy seeks to expand Dubai's economic reach and support the growth of Dubai-based companies in key international markets.
