In 2026, the UAE is advancing its infrastructure with significant projects across various sectors, including energy, transport, and urban development. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for residents and support sustainable economic growth.

## Energy and Water Initiatives

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has launched a program to reduce energy and water consumption in government buildings, starting with Abdullah bin Omran Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. This initiative will eventually cover 360 buildings, with a total investment of Dh1 billion. Additionally, the Emirates Water and Electricity Company is developing the 3.3-gigawatt Al Nouf 1 Independent Power Producer in Abu Dhabi.

## Urban and Transport Projects

Dubai is upgrading its sewerage and stormwater drainage networks in Al Quoz Creative Zone, part of a broader Dh500 million plan. The Roads and Transport Authority is also enhancing public transport facilities, including new bus shelters and truck rest areas. In Sharjah, water supply capacity in Kalba has been increased, while Ajman has inaugurated the Al Tallah Road development project.

## Economic and Real Estate Developments

The UAE is also focusing on urban and economic growth. Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai International Financial Centre are undergoing expansions, while Sharjah is developing a new exhibition center for the Sharjah International Book Fair. Economic zones in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah are attracting new investments, creating jobs and boosting logistics capabilities.
