Saudi Arabia: All visit visas barred from Hajj access

## New Hajj Regulations

Saudi Arabia has implemented strict measures for the upcoming Hajj season, allowing only those with official Hajj permits to enter Mecca and the holy sites. This rule applies from the start of Dhu Al Qi’dah until the 14th of Dhu Al Hijjah.

## Penalties for Violations

Individuals attempting to perform Hajj without a permit face fines up to 20,000 Saudi riyals. Residents and overstayers caught without a permit will be deported and banned from re-entering the country for a decade.

## Umrah and Permit Suspension

The issuance of Umrah permits through the Nusuk platform is suspended for all, including citizens and GCC nationals, during the Hajj period. This aims to ensure only authorized pilgrims access Mecca.

## Enforcement and Compliance

Authorities emphasize the importance of adhering to these regulations to maintain safety and manage crowds effectively. The public is encouraged to report any violations to emergency numbers provided by the Ministry of Interior.
