Filipino workers in the UAE affected by regional conflicts can now apply for a one-time financial assistance of $200. This initiative, led by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, aims to support overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) facing employment disruptions.

## Who Can Apply

The aid targets land-based OFWs with employment visas or Emirates IDs from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain. Applicants must still be in the UAE and prove their employment has been impacted. Those with visas from other emirates but working in the Northern Emirates may also qualify if they provide proof of employment location.

## Required Documents

Applicants need to submit a completed assistance request form, a copy of their passport bio page, and proof of employment such as an employment contract or Emirates ID. Evidence of work disruption, like employer certification, reduced payslips, termination notices, or visa cancellation documents, is also required. Personal statements are accepted if certified by the MWO Dubai labor attaché or a recognized Filipino community leader.

## Application Process

Applications are processed online only. Forms will be periodically available on the MWO Dubai website and Facebook page. Applicants should monitor these platforms for updates and refrain from visiting the MWO Dubai office in person.

## Receiving the Aid

Once approved, the financial aid will be distributed through money transfer services, ensuring quick access for beneficiaries. The MWO Dubai advises affected OFWs to prepare the necessary documents and await further announcements regarding the application and distribution process.
