## New Entrepreneurial Programme
The UAE has unveiled a new initiative aimed at transforming 1,000 Emirati families into entrepreneurs over the next five years. This state-backed programme is part of a broader strategy to reduce dependency on government support and promote economic self-sufficiency.
## Programme Structure
The initiative, launched under the national campaign "The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World," involves collaboration between the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the Ministry of Community Empowerment, the New Economy Academy, and the National CSR Fund. It focuses on transitioning families from financial aid to financial independence through entrepreneurship.
## Training and Support
Participants will be categorized based on their business readiness: those with just an idea, those with an unstable income, and those ready to expand. The programme offers free training, mentoring, and access to a network of partners to help commercialize their ideas. The training includes both in-person and online sessions, covering business models, marketing, and branding.
## Selection Criteria
Families are selected based on their willingness to participate, with the programme targeting around 200 families annually. The initiative is open to Emirati nationals aged 18 and above, with no specific industry focus, although guidance will be provided towards sectors aligned with national priorities.
