Abu Dhabi recently hosted a vibrant night market at Madinat Zayed Exhibition, celebrating Filipino Food Month. The event featured a rich array of Filipino cuisine and culture, drawing both locals and visitors to experience the flavors of the Philippines.

## Culinary Highlights

The market showcased 20 food and retail vendors, with approximately 90% being Filipino. Visitors enjoyed traditional street foods and comfort dishes, such as iskrambol, a colorful shaved ice dessert, and taho, a warm tofu treat with brown sugar syrup. Other popular items included halo-halo, a mixed dessert with sweetened beans and fruits, and street favorites like sorbetes and isaw.

## Cultural and Community Impact

The event was organized by MAG Events Management and supported by the Philippine Embassy. It aimed to highlight Filipino entrepreneurship and cultural heritage in Abu Dhabi. The Philippine ambassador to the UAE, Alfonso Ver, attended the event, emphasizing the importance of community-driven initiatives that bring people together through shared experiences.

In addition to food, the market offered a selection of retail products, allowing visitors to explore Filipino goods and small businesses. This cultural showcase underscored Abu Dhabi's role as a multicultural hub, celebrating diverse heritages and fostering a sense of community among residents.
