## New Nature Reserve in Sharjah

The Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has announced the creation of the Wadi Al Qarha Nature Reserve. This initiative aims to protect the region's wildlife and natural environment.

## Prohibited Activities

The decree outlines several activities that are banned within the reserve to preserve its biodiversity. These include hunting, introducing non-native species, and any actions that could harm wildlife or damage the ecosystem. Additionally, pollution of soil, water, or air, as well as military exercises, are strictly prohibited.

## Construction and Development Restrictions

Building or establishing facilities, constructing roads, and conducting agricultural or commercial activities within the reserve require specific permits. Recreational activities that could negatively impact wildlife are also restricted.

## Legal Framework

The decree aligns with Federal Law No. (24) of 1999, which focuses on environmental protection and development. Violations of the reserve's regulations will result in penalties, including compensation for damages.

## Management and Enforcement

The competent authority is tasked with managing the reserve and coordinating with local municipalities and police to enforce regulations. Administrative decisions will be issued to ensure compliance and protection of the reserve.
