## A New Threat Emerges
"Stranger Things: Tales From '85" concludes with a thrilling finale, set in the winter of 1985, bridging the gap between Seasons 2 and 3. Despite Eleven closing the Gate, Hawkins remains plagued by the Upside Down's remnants. The series introduces a new threat, a Queen-like entity dubbed Hordak Prime, born from leftover vine samples at Hawkins Lab.
## The Battle in the Caves
The final episode sees the Hawkins gang navigating an underground network resembling the Upside Down. Nikki Baxter, a tech-savvy newcomer, aids the group in confronting the Queen. The stakes are high as the Queen attempts to reopen a Gate, risking a full-scale invasion. Eleven ultimately defeats the Queen, sealing the rift and temporarily restoring peace to Hawkins.
## Impact on the Timeline
While "Tales From '85" expands on the events between Seasons 2 and 3, it doesn't alter the main storyline. Instead, it provides additional context to the ongoing threats from the Upside Down. Showrunner Eric Robles emphasizes that the spin-off respects the original canon, highlighting the hidden costs of the peace seen at the start of Season 3.
## A Suspicious Calm
With the Queen defeated, Hawkins enjoys a brief period of calm. Nikki joins the group as a new member of their D&D circle. However, the peace feels temporary, as Hawkins rarely stays quiet for long.
## A Teasing Post-Credits Scene
The series ends with a post-credits scene hinting at future troubles. In an Upside Down version of the greenhouse, a blue-tinged flower emerges from the Queen's remains, suggesting that the threat is far from over. This moment serves as a warning that the Upside Down's influence continues to linger.
