Sharjah rolls out digital donation platforms to boost Ramadan giving

## New Digital Donation Initiatives

Sharjah Charity International has launched a series of digital initiatives to facilitate donations during Ramadan. The charity aims to enhance the ease and security of giving through these new platforms.

## Smart Donation Screens

Eighteen smart donation screens have been installed in major shopping malls across Sharjah. These screens support various payment methods, including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, QR codes, and credit cards, offering a modern alternative to traditional donation methods.

## Community Engagement

To further encourage donations, 100 donation boxes will be placed in mosques and public areas during key prayer times. Additionally, 100 volunteers will assist in managing donations, and 54 customer service staff will be available at shopping centers and government facilities.

## Extensive Donation Network

The charity has also set up 6,729 small donation boxes in grocery stores and introduced 256 handheld devices for quick and secure donations. These devices are linked to the charity's headquarters to ensure efficient processing.

## Collaboration with Government and Businesses

In partnership with the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs, 578 donation cabinets have been installed in mosques. The "Enmaa Al Khair" initiative, in collaboration with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, has placed 730 large donation boxes and 83 electronic devices in hotels.

## Multiple Donation Channels

Sharjah Charity International offers several ways to donate, including online through their website, SMS, smart links, credit cards, bank transfers, a mobile app, and a dedicated call center. The charity encourages community participation in their Ramadan campaign "Jood," highlighting the UAE's tradition of generosity.
