Kuwait restores 100% government staffing, normal hours resume

## Return to Full Capacity

Kuwait is set to resume full staffing levels in government offices starting Sunday, May 3. This decision ends the previously reduced attendance measures and reinstates regular working hours, including evening shifts. The move was approved during a Cabinet meeting led by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah.

## Education Sector Update

In addition to the staffing changes, the Cabinet has approved the return of in-person classes for secondary school students across all educational systems, starting the same day. Education Minister Sayed Jalal Al Tabtabaei provided an update on the education sector's current status during the meeting.

## Security and Diplomatic Developments

The Cabinet also discussed recent security and diplomatic issues. A phone call between Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled and US Vice-President JD Vance was highlighted, where Kuwait condemned an attack on US President Donald Trump and his deputy. Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Al Ali reported on regional military incidents, including drone strikes on northern border sites, which fortunately resulted in no casualties.

## Future Planning

Ministers reviewed Kuwait’s fourth structural master plan for 2040, focusing on urban development, sustainability, infrastructure, and economic diversification. A committee has been assigned to oversee its implementation in collaboration with relevant government bodies.
