## Unusual Incident at Indian Bank
In a shocking turn of events, an Indian man named Jitu Munda from Odisha took drastic measures to access his deceased sister's bank account. After being denied withdrawal due to the absence of a death certificate, Munda exhumed his sister's body and brought it to the bank as proof of her death.
## Bank's Response
The incident occurred at an Indian Overseas Bank branch, where Munda was informed that third-party withdrawals required proper authorization, including a death certificate. Frustrated by the refusal, he returned with his sister's remains, creating a distressing scene at the bank.
## Documentation Challenges
The bank stated that the situation arose from a lack of awareness and procedural non-compliance. They assured that the claim would be processed once the necessary documentation was provided. In India, registering births and deaths is mandatory, but many rural areas still face challenges in obtaining official certificates.
