UAE announces Eid Al Adha holiday, mid-term break for schools

## Holiday Announcement

The UAE Ministry of Education has declared a five-day holiday for Eid Al Adha, which will also serve as a mid-term break for schools. This break is scheduled from May 25 to 29, 2026, and applies to students, teachers, and administrative staff.

## Academic Calendar Details

Following the break, students will return to school on June 1 to continue the third academic term. Mock exams are planned for June 15 and 16 to evaluate students' readiness for final assessments. An official holiday for the Islamic New Year is set for June 17, after which end-of-term exams will occur from June 24 to July 3.

## End of Academic Year

The academic year will officially conclude on July 3. Makeup exams for students needing to meet passing requirements will take place from July 6 to 9. Results for these exams will be released on July 12 and 13, with re-sit exams scheduled from July 14 to 17. The final re-sit results will be announced on July 20.

## Staff Training and Summer Leave

From July 13 to 17, specialized training programs will be conducted for teaching and administrative staff to enhance their skills. Summer leave for staff will begin on July 18, following the completion of all academic responsibilities.
