## No Workforce Reduction
Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has confirmed that there will be no job cuts despite fluctuations in demand due to regional conflicts affecting travel patterns. CEO Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi emphasized that the company remains fully operational across all services, including taxis, buses, limousines, e-hailing, and delivery bikes.
## Strategic Fleet Redeployment
Instead of reducing capacity, DTC has strategically reallocated its fleet. Vehicles have been shifted from lower-demand areas, such as airport transfers, to more stable, shorter trips. E-hailing services have shown strong performance due to their convenience and transparent pricing, while the delivery bike segment continues to grow rapidly.
## Flexible Cost Model
DTC's cost structure, which is largely commission-based, allows for flexibility in managing demand fluctuations without resorting to layoffs. The company has not needed to access external borrowing and has maintained dividend payments through internal cash generation.
## Future Outlook and Sustainability
Looking ahead, DTC expects stable performance supported by Dubai's economic fundamentals. The company is also advancing its transition to electric vehicles, aiming for a fully electric fleet by 2040. Collaborations with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will expand charging infrastructure to support this shift.
## Technological Advancements
DTC is leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance operations, with initiatives like the EV Mobility Intelligence Platform. This platform integrates real-time data and predictive analytics to optimize routes and improve customer experience.
## Role in Future Mobility
As Dubai prepares for the launch of flying taxis by 2026, DTC aims to play a crucial role in first- and last-mile connectivity. With a large fleet and established links to key locations, the company positions itself as a central part of Dubai’s integrated mobility network.
