Sharjah's industrial sector is a major contributor to the UAE's economy, housing around 40% of the country's industrial establishments. The emirate boasts over 2,800 factories spread across 21 industrial zones.

In 2025, Sharjah issued 532 new industrial licenses, marking a 17% increase from the previous year. The total number of licenses reached 3,886, reflecting an 8% overall growth. Industrial real estate transactions also surged by 88.7% to Dh9.24 billion.
