## Significant Archaeological Find in Hail Region
Saudi Arabia's Heritage Commission has documented a rare Islamic inscription from the first century Hijri on the historic Darb Zubayda pilgrimage route. This discovery was made in the Hail region, specifically at Dhali’ al-Nis, south of Samira governorate.
## Historical Importance
The inscription is carved on a granite rock and includes a supplication for a man named Ibrahim ibn Ziyad, along with a verse from Surah Al-Baqarah. This find highlights the spiritual and humanitarian messages of early Islamic travelers and underscores the historical significance of the route as a major crossing point for pilgrims traveling from Kufa to Mecca.
## Preservation Efforts
The Heritage Commission is actively working to document and preserve such archaeological sites across Saudi Arabia. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote the kingdom's cultural heritage and enhance its historical value.
