## UAE Air Defence Intercepts Drones

On May 10, 2026, the UAE Ministry of Defence reported that air defence systems successfully intercepted two drones launched from Iran. This incident is part of ongoing tensions, with UAE defences having intercepted a significant number of threats since the escalation began.

## Record of Interceptions

The Ministry highlighted that since the start of these "blatant Iranian attacks," UAE forces have intercepted 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,265 drones. Despite the high number of threats, the recent drone interception resulted in no injuries or fatalities.

## Casualties and Injuries

Since the beginning of the attacks, the UAE has recorded a total of two martyrs and the death of a Moroccan civilian contractor. Civilian casualties total ten, involving individuals from various countries including Pakistan, Nepal, and India. Additionally, 230 people from multiple nationalities have been injured.

The Ministry emphasized the UAE's readiness to counter any threats, ensuring the protection of national security and interests. The armed forces remain vigilant in safeguarding the country's sovereignty and stability.
