## New Fast-Track Medical Program

A new educational pathway is now available for UAE students aiming to pursue medical degrees in the United States. This accelerated program, offered by the Western Atlantic University School of Medicine (WAUSM), allows students to complete both a bachelor's and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in approximately six years.

## Program Details

The program begins with accelerated undergraduate coursework at partner universities in the US. Following this, students transition to WAUSM's MD program in the Bahamas. The curriculum includes clinical clerkships and preparation for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1 and 2.

## Path to Residency

Upon completing the program, graduates can apply for residency training in the US. This phase involves supervised medical training in a chosen specialty. After residency and passing USMLE Step 3, physicians can apply for full medical licensure, subject to state-specific requirements.
