RTA adds four new areas to Bus-On-Demand service

## New Areas Added Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has expanded its Bus-On-Demand service to include four additional areas: Al Qusais, Jumeirah Village Circle, Al Warqa’a, and Dubai Investments Park. This expansion increases the service coverage to 17 areas across the city.

## Service Growth The Bus-On-Demand service, which now operates with a fleet of 49 buses, aims to enhance first and last-mile connectivity. This initiative aligns with Dubai's goal to improve public transport accessibility and reduce reliance on private vehicles.

## Innovative Features The service allows users to book rides through a smart app, selecting their pick-up and drop-off points for convenient travel. In 2025, the service saw a significant increase in ridership, with numbers rising from 417,315 in 2024 to 984,929 in 2025.

## Affordable Travel Rides are priced at Dh5 per trip, with an additional Dh4 for each extra passenger. Shared trips are available, making the service cost-effective and efficient. RTA is also offering promotional free trips during the launch phase to encourage usage.

## Future Plans The RTA plans to continue expanding the service to new areas, further integrating it with Dubai's public transport network, including the Metro and buses, to enhance overall mobility in the emirate.
