Abu Dhabi activates paid parking in 3,921 Musaffah spaces

## New Parking Regulations

Starting May 18, Abu Dhabi will implement paid parking in 3,921 spaces across Musaffah. This move aims to alleviate congestion and enhance traffic flow in the bustling industrial and commercial district.

## Affected Sectors

The paid parking initiative will cover sectors M5, M6, M21, M22, and M23. Specifically, M5 will have 661 spaces, M6 will have 710, M21 will include 1,100, M22 will have 800, and M23 will feature 650 spaces. The plan also includes designated spots for people of determination to ensure accessibility.

## Implementation Phases

This rollout is part of a phased approach that began in January 2026. The first phase included sectors M1, M2, M3, M4, and M24, while the second phase, launched in April, covered sectors M7, M8, M9, M14, and M15.

## Payment Details

Parking fees will be set at Dh2 per hour. Users can pay via the Darb and TAMM apps, SMS services, or payment machines located throughout the area.

## Objectives

The initiative seeks to improve vehicle movement, enhance road safety, and support economic activities by creating a more organized environment. Authorities have noted increased parking demand in recent years, leading to traffic challenges and irregular parking practices.
