This growth follows a 12.4% rise in 2025, as reported by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE). The number of business establishments also grew by 7.8% during the same period.

The wholesale and retail trade sector remains the largest, comprising 30.22% of all establishments. The construction sector follows with 17.44%, and administrative and support services account for 11.86%. Manufacturing activities make up 8.7%, while accommodation and food services represent 5.88%. Professional, scientific, and technical activities hold a 5.75% share.

The data highlights the UAE's ongoing economic diversification, with various sectors attracting significant business and investment. Transport and storage activities account for 4.41%, information and communications for 2.99%, and real estate activities for 2.45%.
