## ADGM's Strategic Role
The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has successfully attracted major international financial firms managing a total of $4.4 trillion in assets to set up operations in Abu Dhabi. This development follows ADGM's participation in the 2026 Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles, where it emphasized its role as a strategic hub for global capital flows.
## Key Announcements
In April, eight leading financial institutions announced plans to establish a presence in ADGM. Notable firms include Muzinich & Co., Hillhouse Investment Management, Barings, Bain Capital, Hashed Global Management Limited, Rokos Capital Management, Capital Group, and Man Group. These firms are drawn to ADGM's stability, institutional strength, and connectivity to global markets.
## High-Level Engagements
During the conference, ADGM's delegation, led by Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, engaged in over 50 high-level meetings with global policymakers and investors. Discussions focused on Abu Dhabi's strategic role in shaping global finance and fostering international collaboration.
## Economic Diversification
Al Zaabi highlighted the UAE's long-term economic diversification strategy as a key factor in its economic resilience. He noted that ADGM's growth trajectory continues, with a 5.2% increase in new licenses issued in March 2026 compared to the previous year.
## Future Prospects
ADGM aims to become one of the world's top five financial centers by enhancing its regulatory framework and fostering innovation. The center's efforts are part of a broader strategy to reinforce Abu Dhabi's position as a leading global financial hub.
